Welcome to ScanForOwner — a digital QR code platform designed to help people connect quickly and safely with item owners through unique, scannable QR codes. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (scanforowner.com) and web application (app.scanforowner.com), collectively referred to as the “Service.”

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. The Service

ScanForOwner allows users to create personalized contact pages connected to unique QR codes. When scanned, the QR code redirects to a public contact page that can display chosen details such as name, phone number, social media links, or other contact methods. Users can also order physical cards or stickers that include their QR code.

3. User Accounts

  • To use the Service, you must register for an account at app.scanforowner.com.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information and verify your email address to activate your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to the platform’s core features. After the trial period, continued use of the Service requires an active paid subscription of €2.99/month.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree that your payment method may be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription anytime via your account settings, but partial refunds are not provided for unused periods.

5. QR Codes and Contact Pages

  • Each user account includes one automatically generated digital QR code linked to their main contact page.
  • Users may order physical QR stickers or cards via the platform; delivery details and costs will be displayed during checkout.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information displayed on your contact page.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use ScanForOwner for any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose.
  • Upload, share, or display offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content.
  • Interfere with the platform’s operation or attempt unauthorized access to other users’ data or systems.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service and its content (including design, code, and trademarks) are owned by or licensed to ScanForOwner. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or engage in activities that may harm other users or the Service’s integrity.

9. Limitation of Liability

ScanForOwner is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to the Service

We may update or modify the platform, features, or pricing from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through the platform or via email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes shall be resolved in Latvian courts.
